The Bum Bag is a roll-up dump pouch designed specifically with Police/LE in mind for search-incident-to-arrest. The closure flap of the Bum Bag has an elastic pocket perfect for nitrile gloves. Inside, closest to the wearer’s body, is a heavy-duty elastic weapon retention band to safely secure recovered suspect weapons. It is also sized to accommodate a rifle magazine during range use. Opposite of the retention band is another small pocket where dope baggies can be stored then utilized when loose pills/evidence are located.
The body of the Bum Bag is constructed with abrasion and water resistant 1000 denier nylon which is urethane coated on the inside to withstand the demands of patrol, and accommodate easy decon. Velcro closures secure the Bum Bag in a slim configuration keeping it out of the way until it is needed. The mount portion is constructed using the same Curv that the Adapt series are constructed of; staying true to our goal of light weight, durable mounting.
GWS recommends the use of a Safariland ELS or Bladetech Tek-Mount Mini to allow for easy disconnect from a belt or vest. The utilization of the same mounting system amongst a patrol team also allows for Officers to simply exchange pouches should they transport a detainee/prisoner for another Officer.

Finally a dump pouch that makes sense!!!! Small, lightweight and compact but sturdy enough to stay open when you need it to! The inner and outer pockets for gloves and evidence bags are genius!! It’s also nice to know when you throw a firearm in there it’s not just bouncing around and it’s actually secure!!! Great Job!!!

Been using these since V1. No nonsense, light weight, functional dump pouch specifically with LE in mind. I own three and constantly hand em off to guys transporting locals to the jail. I just grab the next one from my duty bag and click it on my belt (Safariland ELS mount). Even though these have been out for a couple years I still have guys look at it, when I hand them the subject’s gear all tossed in one bag, and say “I gotta get one of these!”. They’re not wrong; just get one…you will not be disappointed.

Top Tier Product and Amazing Customer Service
I ordered this bag for property/evidence during arrests. The size is perfect. It is not bulky when rolled up, and deploys enough space to hold numerous items (ex. from a prior arrest, a kitchen blade 8 inch in length, with a P365X holstered, 2 phones, and a bulky leather wallet, with more space as well). I had an incident occur with the first bag I ordered (it was booked with an arrestee as their property) and I notified GWS about the incident. They immediately shipped another one to me ASAP. I had also requested a velcro area so I could attach a POLICE patch to it, which came out perfectly (would recommended if you allow others to transport your arrestees or booking their property). I also have the bag attached to the Tek-Lok Mini Disk, which holds up with only 2 of the 4 screws attached. All things considered, would suggest departments to bulk order these for Patrol at the very least.
I also use GWS adapters and the Bang Hanger, which are perfect mounts to my duty belt for patrol. 10/10 always recommend their products.
